Jonathan Corey is a veteran recording/mix engineer, a prize-winning pianist, and generally well-liked choir director. On his long and winding path to Charlottesville, Virginia, he's done stints recording at Brooklyn's Rare Book Room (Dirty Projectors, Bon Iver) and Parsonsfield, Maine's Great North Sound Society (Lake Street Dive, Josh Ritter). He was trained at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music (Bachelors Degree in Piano Performance) and University of Massachusetts at Lowell (Masters Degree in Sound Recording Technology). While at Lowell, Jonathan studied acoustics, capping off his education with a thesis about the absorptive treatment of a music and arts space in Portland, Maine. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys b-balling, brewing kombucha, and games of any and all kinds.
